FSA CHEF and Apprentice CHEF 2011 National Championships Presented By Luus Industries

Luus Industries and the Foodservice Suppliers Association of Australia 2011 CHEF Championships announce a two year “presenting partner” arrangement. This prestigious and fiercely competitive title is to be fought out “LIVE” at the FoodService Australia 2011 event at The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on the 19th – 21st June next year. Forming the central feature of the event the championships will now offer the competing chefs the opportunity to work on Australian made oven ranges from the Luus Industries range.

With the new two year partnership in place Clifford Fairbrass, Event manager for the FSA event says “this gives the industry owned FSA event a solid and certain future for all of the stakeholders.” The competition will be known as “The FSAA 2011 CHEF Championships presented by Luus Industries.”

The current title holder is Soren Lascelles, Sous Chef from Warren Turnbull’s two toques Sydney restaurant ‘Assiette’ who claimed the 2010 championships in June. Soren will be in Melbourne to defend his title at the FoodService Australia 2011 event, where he will be facing some of Melbourne’s finest chefs all looking to knock him off the top spot and claim the $10,000 first prize.

Fine Food Australia, Melbourne 2010

The Fine Food Exhibition held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in September 2010 was a fantastic opportunity for Luus to showcase our new additions to the product range, including the Griddle Toaster - which was very well received by all visitors to the stand. Also on display was our 'green' environmentally friendly water-saving wok, as well as a sneak peak at the updated BCH series due for release in early 2011. Overall the show attracted nearly 30,000 patrons and Luus Industries would like to thank everyone who supported us throughout and helped contribute towards the success of our stand.
